Asclepias verticillata

This lesser known milkweed species will reach between 1-2'  tall in dry to medium soils in full  sun. The stunning rose colored blooms will catch your attention in July through September. A host plant for monarch butterflies, queen butterflies, and the milkweed tussock moth. Long tongued/ shorted tongued bees, wasps, and a plethora of other insects enjoy the blooms very much.  This plant, once established will spread via rhizomes!
