Silpium laciniatum

At 7’-8’ tall, Compass Plant will surely be noticed in your landscape!  The name comes from the belief that the leaves orient themselves N-S.  Compass Plant prefers full sun, very moist to dry soil, and has yellow sunflower-like flowers July-September. Compass Plant was very common in the Tallgrass Prairie, and pollinators enjoy the pollen & nectar.
