Liatris pycnostachya
Monarchs love this plant!  Prairie Blazing Star prefers full sun and wet to average soil.  The purple flower spikes, which reach a height of 4’ in July-August, attract many species of butterflies, skippers, and bees.  Prairie Blazing Star looks great planted with native grasses!
