Coreopsis palmata

Prairie Coreopsis prefers full sun and average to dry soil.  It has bright yellow flowers June-August and gets about 2’ tall.  Prairie Coreopsis spreads slowly by rhizomes, and it usually looks best when allowed to form a colony.  Numerous insect species use the pollen and nectar, including bees, butterflies, and beetles!
