Solidago speciosa

Showy Goldenrod prefers full to part sun and average to dry soil.  Yellow flowers on unbranched stalks appear from August to October to a height of 4-5’.  Honeybees, bees, bumblebees, moths, and butterflies use the flowers, and the seeds are eaten by Goldfinch. Nice!
